En Vitoria nos saltaremos algunas, pendientes de analizar mejor, pues me dan problemas algunas marcas, sobre todo los “Victoria”.

[PE-6]. Inedita.

Esta marca ya la habían dado a conocer los hermanos Raya, aunque la imagen que aportan es la de Pares. Nosotros hemos encontrado las siguientes.

PARES
Marca “VIC-TORIA” dentro de doble circulo en carta de Legazpi a Baeza el 12 de octubre de 1.747. Legazpi sacaba su correo por Villarreal, aunque en la carta se indica “Por Vitoria”.

BADATOR
Tenemos dos cartas que no podemos fechar. La primer es una envuelta que se encuentra en un archivo de cartas fechadas en Vitoria entre 1.748 y 1.750.

La segunda es también una envuelta sin fecha que está en un archivo con cartas de varios orígenes de entre 1.748 a 1.769, donde las que más se repiten son de Vitoria de 1.750.

BERGARAKOART
La ultima la tenemos en el archivo del Ayuntamiento de Vergara (BERGARAKOART) y aunque es en blanco y negro, nos permite establecer un periodo de uso entre 1.747 y 1.751.
La carta va de Vitoria a Vergara el 20 de mayo de 1.751.

PE-7. 1760 a 1770.
En rojo se cataloga de 1760 a 1761 como rarísima (RRR).
La siguiente carta parece corresponderse con el texto de la imagen 312, fechada en Vitoria el 24 de abril de 1762, pero no coincide con la destinataria, por lo que la dejamos como duda.
Además, si realmente se usó en negro desde 1761, nos extrañaría que se usara también en rojo un año después.

SIMURG
En Badator tenemos una carta de 1771 y aquí tenemos una carta de Vergara a Paris fechada el 18 de enero de 1772, lo que amplía el uso en dos años y prácticamente cierra hueco con el siguiente cuño.

La verdad es que llega un momento en el que habría que plantearse si es la misma marca, pues ¿cómo se llega desde una cadeneta con dos líneas realmente separadas a una única línea completamente definida?
Como en otras ocasiones, pienso que pudo tener algún tipo de reparación. ¿Alguna opinión?

Para documentar lo que pienso, aquí pongo dos imágenes de la marca en negro. De las primeras y de las ultimas. En fechas intermedias se ve a veces como una línea de líneas discontinuas.
La línea de la última, me coincide con el eje de la cadena, es decir, con el punto de unión de los eslabones.

Si la cadeneta estaba formada por la unión de eslabones de metal fino o dos tiras de metal que se entrecruzaban y con el paso del tiempo se va deteriorando, igual procedieron a unir las dos líneas (aplastando los eslabones) u otra solución y dejar una línea continua bien definida.
Es decir, no creo que se pase de la una a la otra por simple deterioro. Yo pienso que ahí intervino la mano humana.

Doy un salto, para al final volver sobre las que falten y si hace falta, completar alguna.

PE-10. 1797 a 1798. Rarísima (RRR).
Esta marca realmente tiene ciertos adornos en sus extremos, la “T” es partida en su trazo horizontal y lleva punto al final, lo cual no se refleja en la ilustración de PE. Esto realmente es complicado de ver por la baja calidad de las improntas y al poco se van dejando de ver estos detalles. Para observarlos, es conveniente ver varias marcas.

La primera fecha que tenemos es de 30 de marzo de 1797 y la última, que amplía su uso un año, de 21 de marzo de 1799 (imagen 10 del último archivo).
Esta fecha ultima, posiblemente sea muy aproximada a la ultima fecha real.

PE-11. 1799 a 1802. Muy rara (RR).
No tenemos modificación de fechas, pero si podemos concretar más.
La primera fecha que nos encontramos es en carta de Vitoria a Tolosa de 24 de marzo de 1799.
En la anterior marca indicábamos que la última fecha era el 21 de marzo de 1799 y dado que en estos primeros años no hemos detectado solape entre marcas, parece muy posible que el cambio de estos cuños se produjera entre el 21 y el 24 de marzo, es decir, solo tendríamos una laguna de dos días y por tanto podrían ser fechas casi definitivas.

La imagen 3 de Pares nos plantea una duda y es si la “E” de la “DE” tiene brazos o no, a semejanza del cuño PE-12. En el resto de imágenes ese detalle no se observa bien, aunque también se nos antoja ver en alguna ocasión indicios de ello. Personalmente considero que realmente es como decimos y en ese caso, sería un error en la ilustración de Prefilatelia Española, aunque es cierto que es muy complicado de ver pues suele ser una zona muy borrosa y débil.

La primera fecha que tenemos es de 29 de septiembre de 1802, por lo que en este caso, tenemos una laguna de aproximadamente cuatro meses con la anterior.

Este dato ya era conocido, pues en el libro de El Señorío de Vizcaya de los hermanos Raya, se aporta la imagen de una carta que se dice es de 1 de agosto de 1805, lo cual sería última fecha conocida.

La ultima fecha que tenemos es del 1 de enero de 1815 en carta de Vitoria a Tolosa, y aunque sea por un único día, debemos atrasar el uso del cuño en color negro en un año.
Comentar que, en archivos anteriores, tenemos cartas también del 29 de diciembre del año anterior, por lo que es fácil que la fecha del 1 de enero, no sea un error al contemplar el año incorrectamente.

La primera fecha que tenemos es 22 de mayo de 1809 y la ultima 18 de noviembre de 1813 (recordar que en 1812 y 1813 también nos encontrábamos la actual PE-13).

En rojo se cataloga en 1820 como rarísima (RRR).
Solo hemos encontrado la siguiente carta de Vitoria a Ceanuri fechada el 28 de junio de 1823, por lo que entendemos que se debe catalogar también en dicho año.
Pensamos que, en cualquier caso, el uso de este cuño en años posteriores al del primer periodo, es decir, el de su uso en negro, debió de ser muy puntual, lo cual se refleja en la rareza.

En rojo se cataloga de 1816 a 1821 como escasa (E).
Hemos encontrado cartas en todos los meses de 1815, por lo que se debe catalogar a partir de dicho año. La primera fecha es de 5 de enero en carta de Vitoria a Tolosa (imagen 40), la cual debe ser de las primeras fechas de uso del color rojo, pues 4 días antes teníamos la PE-13 en negro.

Hasta el 1 de enero de 1815 se había utilizado la tinta negra, salvo casos muy puntuales (PE-7). A partir del 5 de enero, siempre se usará el color rojo para las marcas de origen, salvo el preceptivo periodo del fechador de 1842 y posiblemente y de forma muy puntual o por error, como por ejemplo la PE-22. Falta saber que paso en los 3 días intermedios.

PE-16. 1817. Muy rara (RR).
Dado que Badator no está a escala, podemos tener errores entre esta marca y la PE-13, ya que es muy fácil confundir ambas, sobre todo cuando no se ve la “A” final.
De esta solo tenemos una carta y espero que la PE-13 la tenga bien catalogada.

PE-18. 1821 a 1831. Común (C).
Solo tenemos dos cartas de 1821 y la primera nos genera ciertas dudas. La cuestión es que en 1822 no la hemos visto hasta el 26 de septiembre y después pasa a febrero de 1823, es decir, parece que en los primeros años prevalecía el uso de la PE-17 frente a esta.

Realmente esta marca lleva punto tras Vitoria, lo cual no se refleja en la ilustración de PE. En esta imagen se ve mejor.

Por cierto, si se comparan las fechas entre la PE-17 y PE-18, se puede comprobar que tenemos varios días donde coinciden ambas marcas, es decir, que se utilizaron indistintamente una u la otra.

Tomo nota y en ese caso pasa a catalogarse de 1747 a 1752.
José Luis, a mi me pasa como a las subastas, que si no aparece en Prefilatelia Española, le llamo inédita. Tengo algo de documentación y si aparece, lo comento, pero me falta mucho y por eso es bueno que lo maticéis vosotros y si se pudiera adjuntar imagen o comentar algo más, aun mejor. Gracias por la puntualización.

PE-19. 1822. Muy rara (RR).
Nosotros no hemos encontrado ninguna carta con este cuño y los Hnos. Raya tampoco, a pesar de ser solo RR.
En nuestro caso, tenemos 30 cartas de 1822 correspondientes a 26 días distintos, con todos los meses representados salvo febrero y ninguna se corresponde con este cuño.
Nos llama la atención estos datos y la verdad es que nos gustaría si alguien puede adjuntar alguna carta.

PE-20. 1823. Muy rara (RR).
Solo hemos encontrado 3 cartas de junio, aunque hay que decir que en este caso, no tenemos ninguna carta de los 3 meses anteriores.

En su libro, los Hnos. Raya llevan esta marca hasta 1830, presentando dos cartas, pero en mi opinión, no lo veo correcto. Desde aquí los invito a revisarlo, por si el error es mío o existe alguna confusión con las imágenes que se han adjuntado.

PE-21. 1831 a 1833. Rara (R).
De este cuño, la primera fecha que tenemos nosotros es el 4 de abril de 1831 y la última del 31 de julio de 1833, aunque tenemos muchas lagunas.
